How about most unusual and or rare tool that you use in your tool box or stored anywhere in the shop, non electric, not adjustable?

What about an "If I could have..."   contest?

Something Mercury made, a Mercury promo, a K&O motor, etc.

There must be something we all wish we could have.

Sure, people may want the same thing but whoever posts first.

This way its not about what you already have.

Maybe something along the lines of who influenced your Mercury passion early on. Ex. Dad, Grandpa, family friend... OR who have you passed the torch to along the way. Ex. Son, Daughter...Photos of early family boats would be fun to share.

Photo's of Merc outboard collection.   Not parts, but complete motors.

Winner not necessarily the most motors,  but most interesting photo's...

How about best Mercury motor and boat combination?  It'd be a good show and tell and we all need to look at more boats here in the dead of Winter. Helps with our Seasonal Affective Disorders.   :-(   Maybe find a calendar shot to boot!    [wrench.gif]

I suspect a lot of guys here like me are retired. I have a part time job that gets me out of the house a couple of days a week. It also provides additional funds for toys. Probably unlike most of you guys, it generally goes to my motorcycle addiction.

Best story or anecdote.

This would be something amusing and entertaining, or maybe a unique story about acquiring an unusual or rare find (boat or motor). Maybe an encounter and conversation with someone of historical or interesting significance (Carl, a famous racer, etc.). Maybe the trials and tribulations of a particular motor, or the journey of a difficult restoration. Could be something about an interesting ancestor (related to boats and motors of course).
