1984 Mercury "Duck's Unlimited" special edition

Postby SteveC » Sat Mar 16, 2019 3:21 am

This post is for Tom B, as he asked me to post a photo of this motor some time ago.  Well, I finally have a chance to post a photo of it.  This was my first outboard.  I won this motor at a Duck's Unlimited banquet back in 1984.  At that time, Mercury made a few special edition motors that were only available for purchase by Duck's Unlimited committees for their banquets.  I don't know how many that were built, but I don't think that there were too many.  This photo was taken at our Midwest Chapter spring meet last Sunday.

Better take really good care of those decals Steve! That's a beautiful example of a rare motor. I never knew that Merc was associated with DU.

Rare and very nice,  I have never seen one,  and the 55 mark 25 looks fantastic,  great work Steve. [drinkingcheers.gif]
