Going out to the Lake Friday to swap out a fresh 4D-3 mag for Dad's MK58 Sport Port. Also - the motor Nick is running is the last of the 2-Stroke V6 powerheads. Current production is all 4-Stroke V8 stuff (Verado based).

Beautiful Mirage, Sure glad I had the chance to own and run a Mercury 2.5 short shaft. There was and will never be an engine that will equal those lightweight quick revving crankcase injected V6's man I miss the 2 strokes..................Rob

Could not agree more Rob. My 1989 2.4 runs on the last V-bottom we restored as a Father-Son project. The 1980 HydroStream V-King is my old-guy cruiser boat. Nick had a lot of seat time in this rig prior to moving up the ladder.

Never met Nick... But I met his dad!  Makes my own ego swell just knowing I have a connection to this fast boat family!

Any chance Nick will be on my lake this weekend for the Poker Run!??  It's a wild event and I've already heard some big, fast boats running the lake for this weekends' event.

Hey Tom,

They were in Boyne Mountain, MI for a similar event last weekend. Lot's of fancy props on those rigs! Not sure where the next travel stop is, but that team puts in a lot of miles and has a great support/setup crew.

Poor kid had no choice in life. We bleed Mercury green.....
