Can anyone help me out the some general info on this old bugger

Weight?
Idle RPM?
WOT RPM?
Water pressure at Idle, mid range and WOT?

wt  about 265
idle 700-750 in gear
WOT about 5500
water pressure 5-6 lbs WOT is fine. just an estimate.

Its summer so responses will take longer...... most are all at the cottage and on the water, this site is busiest in the winter

I have a pile of miscellaneous parts from a white Merc850...  An engine that fell off the back of a boat after a rough railroad crossing.  Powerhead is gone. Top cowl is broken but may have parts, wrap is pretty good, lower pan has decent polished trim ring, gearcase is shot.

Old Mercury outboard fan... Especially the fast ones!
Mercury/MerCruiser,  Evinrude/Johnson & VolvoPenta Technician (After my suit & tie wearing career was done!)

The 1964 model Merc850 is a detuned Merc1000 with 90 cu in powerhead.
Most of your questions have been answered.  What else do you need?
